Fairs, Conferences and Events 2024

Doctoral students from Kaiserslautern and Landau used the Young Researchers Symposium (YRS) of the TU-Nachwuchsring at RPTU and the Center for Simulation and Software-based Innovation at the beginning of August to present their own research to a non-specialist audience. The best contributions were awarded prizes with a total value of 6,000 euros.

The »Career Fair Uni Mannheim« is the annual company contact fair of the University of Mannheim. It offers students and graduates of all Bachelor's and Master's degree courses the opportunity to make initial contacts for starting a career. The Fraunhofer ITWM and Fraunhofer IESE will provide information about career opportunities and more at the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft at the joint booth.

On the Open Campus Day, anyone interested will have the opportunity to find out more about studying at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences. In addition to the university, a large number of companies will also be presenting their research. 

Networking and (further) developing solutions together: The 14th Smart Cities Regional Conference (MPSC) in Kaiserslautern at the Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering IESE offers all municipalities interested in the topic of Smart Cities the opportunity to network with the region's Smart Cities model projects and exchange their own ideas and experiences.

The German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) will be presenting AI solutions for a sustainable economy at several stands. Fraunhofer IESE will also be on site to present its research on the topic of »digital twins«.

Together with the Leibniz Research Network »Mathematical Modelling and Simulation (MMS)«, the Leibniz-Institute for Composite Materials (IVW) is organizing the »Leibniz MMS Days1 at the Kaiserslautern site for the first time this year. Participants can look forward to exciting presentations and an exchange with other researchers, and this year there will also be an MMS Science Slam!

The QUIP Winter School brings together students, leading researchers and industry to discuss the latest developments, challenges and applications in the field of Quantum Machine Learning. The program includes intensive courses, lectures and workshops on the topic, with experts from our institute as speakers.
