Industry Workshop and Symposium

We work in the departments »Transport Processes« and »Flow and Material Simulation« and in the area »Optimization« in different fields of process engineering and support in virtual product and process development.

At the TU Kaiserslautern, process engineering is a focal point in research and teaching. It is supported by the professorships of Bioprocess Engineering, Mechanical Process Engineering, Thermodynamics, Reaction and Fluid Process Engineering as well as cooperation partners in computer science and mathematics.

The cooperation between the chairs of the TU Kaiserslautern and departments of the Fraunhofer ITWM takes place in publicly funded cooperations as well as in structural programs such as the High Performance Center »Simulation and Software-based Innovation«. In joint industrial projects, the scientists of Fraunhofer ITWM and the chairs also contribute together and create benefits in the respective customer companies.

The 6th Day of Process Engineering 2022 documents this cooperation in its facets and gives the opportunity for an interdisciplinary dialog between the individual research groups.
