Conference

The conference is part of a series of events organized by three EU projects:
 

VIPCOAT

In the »VIPCOAT« project (Virtual Open Innovation Platform for Active Protective Coatings Guided by Modelling and Optimization), the Fraunhofer ITWM is working with international partners to develop a platform that will enable new types of protective coatings to be created and tested. This platform uses standardized methods to make developments reproducible and transferable, particularly for the aviation industry.

MUSICODE

The »MUSICODE« project (Multi-Scale Materials, Process and Device Modeling and Design Platform Enabling Non-expert Access to Open Innovation in the Organic and Large Area Electronics Industry) is working on a platform that is being developed specifically for the organic and large-area electronics industry. This platform is designed to enable quick and informed decisions to be made about the design and processing of materials. It integrates data management and modeling tools that make it easy to understand and combine information from different sources. 
 

OpenModel

The »OpenModel« project (Integrated Open Access Materials Modelling Innovation Platform for Europe) is developing a platform that makes it easier to develop and test materials in Europe. This platform is designed to provide predictable and verifiable methods that work seamlessly with existing models and systems from other providers. OpenModel helps to find solutions to real industrial challenges and facilitates informed decision-making in the business sector.
 

A team from the Fraunhofer ITWM is also involved in the EU project »DigiPass« and will present the current status. The project is creating a platform that promotes digital and environmentally friendly business models using the Digital Materials and Product Passport. This »passport« helps to easily share and use information about materials and products. Dr. Peter Klein from the division »Optimization« is organizing the event at the Fraunhofer ITWM.
